In Northern Brittany,
·
80 Km west of Mont Saint Michel,
· 30 Km
west of Saint Malo, the City of Pirates,
· 30
Km north of Dinan, a fortified town
in the Middle Ages,
· 7
Km from Cap Fréhel.
This former stopover on the postal route during the 19th Century is
located in the heart of the small village of "PLEBOULLE", alongside thirty or so
granite and pink sandstone houses which stand 600 meters from the sea.
In the village, 50 meters from the house, there is a post office, but more
importantly, one of pillars of French life and society, the café-bar-tobacconist-
newsagent-bread-and-food-store. For those who prefer supermarkets, there is a
"Super U" 5 km away in Matignon and another one 8 km away in Erquy. You will
also find a doctor's office and a pharmacy in Matignon.
The Emerald Coast stretches from the Bay of Paimpol (Island of Bréhat)
to Mont Saint Michel and has something to offer to visitors of all ages: its
beautiful, fine yellow sand (Les Sables d'Or - "The Golden Sands" - is 5 km away),
its small creeks (Erquy, Plevenon, the beaches at Cap Fréhel, 6 and 7km away),
its
natural and typical harbours (Dahouêt - 20 km away - and Erquy - 8 km away)
where all types of activities are available - fishing on foot (mussels,
currycombs,
winkles), sea fishing, sailing, golf (Le Val André, Sable d’Or, Saint Cast,
and Dinard of course), horse-back riding
(Frehel, St Cast, Erquy), hiking, historical
and architectural sites, and guided tours of the fauna and flora of the area
(Cap
Frehel, Erquy).
